Magicline launches in BeNeLux. After successful market entries in Spain, France, Italy and the english speaking countries, the international expansion continues with a dutch software version.

Further international expansion

The expansion of Magicline continues in the BeNeLux market after recent successes in the European market. So, this marks another milestone in the internationalisation process.

Fitness professionals from the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg now can use the multiple award-winning gym management software to digitalise and grow their business.

“We are very excited to offer our software in BeNeLux. It is an interesting market in which chains and franchises have a dominant role. Still there is also young entrepreneurs that are successful thanks to their creative approach,” explains Max van der Bijl, International Business Manager at Magicline.

The dynamic character of Magicline combined with its many years of experience in the fitness industry has enabled us to become one of Europe’s most advanced fitness software, suited for both independent studios and international chains.

First partners in the Netherlands

The first gyms that use Magicline already are the prestigious chain John Reed (part of RSG Group; McFIT, Gold’s Gym & Bodystreet) and the reputable premium fitness discounter clever fit.

However, besides these big players there were other early adopters, who took advantage of working with Magicline already.

“In spite of the challenging times the industry is confronted with, it seems that professionals took the time to see how they can always be a step ahead by thinking out of the box and digitalising”, claims van der Bijl.

This fits perfectly with the vision of Magicline. We are revolutionising the sector by digitisation and making sports more accessible for everybody worldwide.

Interview with Max van der Bijl

In order to celebrate the launch, we have asked Max van der Bijl, who is responsible for this market, about the special needs in the BeNeLux market and what gym owners can expect.

What makes the BeNeLux market so special and how does it differ from Germany (if it does)?

“Firstly, it should be noted, that BeNeLux does not differ a lot from Germany in terms of industry growth over the past years. Also, just like in Germany, the market is dominated by franchises and chains.

However, the modern customer is more demanding as people look for an experience and flexibility at the same time. Fortunately, many operators in the market have been able to react to this trend thanks to digitalization.”

Why should gym owners in BeNeLux use Magicline?

“Currently a lot of providers try to respond to all customer demands. Examples of this are flexible membership offerings and on-demand classes. But this leads to a lack of control and overview of your business activities.

It blows my mind that I often see businesses with many members still battling with different channels or systems. This is where Magicline comes into play, to make the life of fitness professionals easier by integrating all processes under one roof.”

How do you think will the BeNeLux market (especially after the pandemic) develop in the future and what role plays digitalization?

“As mentioned earlier, people increasingly look for a real experience rather than just a workout. The effect of the pandemic has accelerated this trend even more. The lack of social interaction and the increased use of apps & gadgets especially among millennials and Gen Z will lead to an even bigger role of technology in the industry.”

Thanks for the interview Max! We can’t wait what the future holds for Magicline in BeNeLux!
